Rocky Point Ventures was founded in 2006 as a private family office in Austin, Texas. Traditionally, RPV has focused on early-stage investing in technology and biotechnology start-ups. Although RPV continues to make these types of investments, we have also begun to seek buyout opportunities. As opposed to private equity funds, RPV is an active investor focusing on acquisitions of lower-middle market businesses in the Texas and Southeast regions. RPV is guided by principles of effective use of experience, focusing on fewer deals, growing businesses, and deploying patient capital.
